How can I get closer to God during this time?
“Great is the mystery of the faith!”… This mystery, then, requires that the faithful … live from it in a vital and personal relationship with the living and true God. This relationship is prayer.
– Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2558
Prayer is central to the life of a disciple of Jesus Christ. In prayer, we are truly in touch with the God who saves us. As we go deeper into a life of prayer, we are drawn more deeply into relationship with Jesus, with God the Father, and with the Holy Spirit. This is a good thing.
For me, prayer is a surge of the heart;
– St. Therese of Lisieux
it is a simple look turned toward heaven,
it is a cry of recognition and of love,
embracing both trial and joy.
Some might say, “I don’t know how to pray.” Some might have been praying deeply for years. Some might think of prayer just as saying some things without entering into what they are saying. In each of these cases, there can be growth in prayer. The resources gathered below are here to help you grow in your prayer. No matter what your prayer life, you should be able to find something of help below or at our TLW Equip website.
What are some ways I can grow in prayer?
