Our patroness, St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, is here with us through anything we face. She is interceding for us and asking the Lord to pour His mercy down upon each and every one of us and on our diocese as a whole. Let us join our prayers to hers in joyful adoration of the God who loves us so much that He became one of us precisely in order to take our infirmities on Himself for our redemption.
Let us also imitate St. Therese in her little way. Right now, we may not be able to do all we want. We may not be able to do big things. But we can always do small things with love. We can always unite our sufferings to those of Our Lord. We can always humbly rely on the God who loves us, wants what is best for us, and will be there with us through any hardship. With St. Therese, let us lift our arms to our Heavenly Father and, with the trust of a child, put ourselves in His hands.
Here are some prayer resources to help us live the Little Way:
O my God! I offer you all my actions of this day for the intentions and for the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I desire to sanctify every beat of my heart, my every thought, my simplest works, by uniting them to its infinite merits; and I wish to make reparation for my sins by casting them into the furnace of its merciful love. O my God! I ask of you for myself and for those whom I hold dear the grace to fulfill perfectly your holy will, to accept for love of you the joys and sorrows of this passing life, so that we may one day be united together in Heaven for all eternity. Amen.
